Daft thing pointed me to:
https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OpenXTalk-Engine.git
Which does not exist.
Presumably something "a bit like that" does exist?????
Although, as https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/ has nothing called 'engine' in any way . . .
I thought the engine was Open Source: so where is the thing?

Well, you know how I feel about github - but it's all:
indirectly here, or slightly indirectly here, or more directly here.
Oh, and guess what - anyone can download it without hitting github 'limits' or some other BS.

Things got a little heated with Chat GPT. I was trying to educate it about the existance of MacOS Sonoma and Sequoia.
It denies they exist, then accepted they exist, then contradicted itself in the same paragraph:

I am beginning to think I'd get better advice chatting to my Teddy Bear or my Cat!

LLMs are designed to emulate human outputs, not to model human cognition. They can write pleasingly, but cannot understand a word they type.
These products can be useful for entertainment, provided these commercial applications, dependent as they are on wholesale copying of massive numbers of copyrighted works, are ultimately found to have met the requirements for use exemption from copyright protection.
That's currently an open question in courts across multiple jurisdictions:

https://sustainabletechpartner.com/topi ... -timeline/
If exemption to copyright is ultimately granted, they still won't be truly useful for non-entertainment purposes.
For low-stakes applications, the need for thorough human review and revision may not matter much.
But for critical matters of medical diagnosis, economic management, national security, and other activities which require a low margin of error, liability exposure remains high given known errors in output.

LC Community was always split into two main repos, The engine(s) repo (also for building dictionary), and the IDE Repo.
The fork I originally made for the Engines(s) is here:
https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OpenXT ... munity-DPE
Changes I've done in that repo were mostly only related to the Dictionary files / Guides.
And the 'DPE' fork of the IDE is here (although I do need to update it):
https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OpenXt ... nicEdition
The OXT DPE Syntax Dictionary cache, with links changed to be serve-able as regular webpage:
https://openxtalk-org.github.io/OpenXTa ... ictionary/
Here's the repo for that: https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OpenXT ... Dictionary
I also put the OpenXION Dictionary up because it wasn't available anywhere else online:
https://openxtalk-org.github.io/OpenXIO ... ictionary/
Repo and list of CLI options for OpenXion is here:
https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OpenXI ... Dictionary
The 'Extension Store' part of the DPE Extension Manager is served with Emscripten engine from here:
https://openxtalk-org.github.io/OXT_Res ... epot_Repo/
That page is meant to be accessed from within the IDE, currently requires a working Browser Widget, but you can browse the package files from a web browser. I added Extension Manager functions that enable that web app to install extensions from that repo into the IDE, but it doesn't work without those EM modifications.
Here's the repo for its source stack: https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OXT_Re ... Depot_Repo
Playground web stack served up with the Emscripten engine is here:
https://openxtalk-org.github.io/OpenXTalk-Playground/
The OXT web playground repo with the source stack (plus some extras) is here:
https://github.com/OpenXTalk-org/OpenXTalk-Playground
There's some other Repos in the OXT Repos List here:

And my own Github account repo list has a bunch more xTalk related repos:
