Having found several very goofy spelling mistakes in postings of mine it would be nice if I could go back and correct them: but (unlike in the 'other' forums) that seems not to be possible.

Oh? That's odd, I'll look at the settings for this sub forum later when I get some time.

I mean to be edit them forever: I found a spelling mistake in a posting of mine from 2017 [on another forum] and was able to correct it.

See if you have permissions needed now and let me know if you still can't edit posts. I changed your permissions, but there's a lot of separate permissions settings for every aspect of everything in the forums, so there may be something else I need to change.

You can correct typos for just $8/mo.

However, I am afraid you have gone too far, as I have found that I can edit anyone else's postings as well as my own: and at least one or two people are not going to be too happy about that.

OK I think I got it right this time. Registered users should now be able to self-moderate (but not down wit OPP, Other Peoples Posts).

Sure you could... and then I could permanently ban you after I restore it.

Some of us, oddly enough, do have both morals and limits: so if you choose to ban me, at least it won't be for mucking around with other people' posts.

OK, it's definite;y good now, this time I had the time to test it out. Regular Registered Users can edit their own posts, but not OPP.
