Going Forwards?

I was "over here" for 'no obvious' reason:

and read this:

Now this, oddly enough is not as daft as it may at first look (squint your eyes so you don't see 'RunRev.Ltd').

And because of this we might need some sort of 'committee' (horrible word, horrible idea) for triage . . .
a central decision making point that oversees language consistency and reduces ambiguity

Yes are right, that is truly a horrible idea.
Nothing is ever resolved by a committee. Quite the opposite.
They create issues, not solve them.

If anyone doesn't like what I'm doing, then I'd hope they'd either:

A. Tell me
B. Suggest an alternative themselves. (Preferably with working code)

Ha, ha, ha . . .

Until I started my own EFL school 20 years ago I either jumped before I got pushed, or got pushed, because any committees consisted of sitting around, NOT voicing any opinions that might rock the boat, and then going 'Yes' to some boss's mediocre nonsense.

Now: no committees.

My assistant teacher voices an opinion, and I either say 'Yes' or 'No', and if I voice an opinion she either says 'Yes' or explains why my idea won't work. Much, much easier than any fekking committee.

Of course LC rabbitted on about 'Community' for 8 years: and then, having shown no indication of having listened to anyone, closed the whole thing down overnight.
