Call me old-fashioned: but to me, at least, this is even worse than porn or online gambling:

After all: people take their clothes off all the time, and gambling is a fairly stupid activity, but it is not immoral.

BUT this is plain, bloody disgusting.

Recently the forums have been swamped by one 'liamjones34' [probably a bot] pushing this crap.

If, Paul, you are very busy, or otherwise occupied, I am perfectly prepared to have elevated privileges to I can help sort some of this crap out.

We do NOT want to carry on with posts that are locked, and therefore single posted rather than proper discussions.

You are right. We get a similar 'service' which some of the kids in the school I work at are caught using from time to time. It's not even a human, it's chatGPT and is easily spotted.

This kind of spam posting by liamjones34 is partly why I locked some of my posts in the 'bug fixes' section. The other reason is because they are announcements, rather than discussions.
I know full well that I'm prone to straying off topic, so locking the post stops me from doing that.

I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of a new visitor who perhaps wants information and just the facts in some sections, rather than one of my long-rambling discussions.

Can you then tell me how to lock messages?

Yes, it's at the bottom when you have submitted a post. But only seems to be on the announcements section. I can't find it on a normal message. For example, it doesn't give me this option on this post I'm writing now
