Here we go again...

Here we go again, with only 12 users connected (apparently).
You'd think there wouldn't be much strain on the database, but who knows what else is happening in the background.
(or to the server)....

Just because of this, here's a copy of the download section:
(
alternative download page) - I'm also taking a
copy of the known bugs section in case this forum goes offline again.
Which might make you wonder: Imagine you were trying to host a cloud-centric IDE and the server was doing this. Effectively, blocking your users from accessing the product....

In the case of OXT and OXT Lite, I'd be concerned enough to report it, knowing there wasn't much to be done (thank you for the backup links!)
... but, if I were a newbie to the project, I'd likely just write it off and head elsewhere. Just saying.

I guess we'll know if
they are really in trouble when their services have trouble keeping up time percentage up!
I've noticed this happens when I try to access, seems often be on Fridays in the afternoon here (EST timezone).
Anyway, great! Thanks for doing back ups! The more back-ups and mirrors for this stuff the better in my opinion. Would be cool if we could keep multiple mirror sites in sync. I'd like to have a repo for demo stacks.
Like that URL you once posted (one of your MEGA shared directories) that had collected a lot of the demo stacks that have been shared on these forums, I'd like to mirror that on GitHub and/or on GoogleDrive or other shared cloud storage.
Edit found it:

No problem. It's good to have multiple sources for things, so there's no single point of failure.
I'm still adding to this "Sample Stacks" folder occasionally.
Here's a more direct link.

I'd be happy to host a mirror of some sort, as I'm only really using my rented server for personal projects. I can isolate 15 Gigs of storage, and 150 Gigs of transfer per month. Server is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. PM me if you're interested.

You would be more than welcome to take a copy of my online shared folders in Mega, however it already surpases the 15GB amount:

Well, let me see what I can do over the next month or two. I have a job coming up that should net me enough to upgrade my server to isolate 55 GB (550 GB Transfer).
However, I know a business that has a dedicated server with 250 GB of SSD storage and 2 TB of Transfer. They use less than 10% of that monthly, so I might be able to convince them to donate their unused resources. Maybe as an "Official Sponsor" or something. They owe me big time, so I'll see if they bite.
Also, I'm out of the loop on this, but what server is producing that MySQL error?

That's this server, the openxtalk.org one. Occasionally this forum is unavailable. This is why I've taken
a copy of the downloads page and
the bugs section, just in case this site was to vanish overnight!
It would be good if we can set up automatic backups of the phpBB database, which can be copied off-server to another - complete with a file-based backup. This could be automated via a server cron task, then we always have a point of restore incase the openxtalk.org site does completely go offline. (I think this could be a possibility as it's showing signs of not being able to cope with the users & visitors we currently have).
