Either way, why clog up this donated forum DB with images of at-best-specious value to the project?
Well, we won't know if that is of specious value for quite some time will we! So, if you've got nothing better to do than criticise in a non-constructive way round here . . .

Did you donate the forum DB? No: I thought not: the list-masters can well decide what is relevant or not, and are free to delete what they feel is 'specious'.

I manage a wide range of community resources. Just passing along a perspective of resource conservation that may be a useful habit or not, depending on personal values.

No one tells me to use turn off the lights when I leave a room. I've just made it a habit because I understand the implications.

You will be able to see all release notes (what was changed and at what version, and what build) of OXT Lite.
To open this, you will be able to do it (not yet) from Help menu > Release Notes, or you can do it from the "IDE Information" window, or you can do it from the 'Automatic Updates' tab of the "Preferences" window, or you can do it from the "Release Notes" section of the Guides stack. (Think that covers it).

I haven't made this update 'live' yet - just because I want to test it on MacOS before I do.

Tested this morning on MacOS, and I'm happy it works as it should, so it's now available:

Should take the build to version: 202408171718

After lunch.

Shifting barrow loads of broken roof tiles . . . made me reflect on how much in the inherited IDE is bust, fixed to the rafters with an old girlfriend's garter belt, or covering up a nest of squirrels.

Yes, and you know my views on that.
All we can do from our point of view is fix things as we encounter them, and make it a better version.

(by the way, if you are doing the update later on)...
The last file the updater will download is a change to the 'allguides' stack - this is because I replaced the 'release notes' there to redirect to the new release notes stack.
However, that's quite a large download compared to the others. (The update stack won't have frozen on the last file, just takes a while on a slow connection).

Just to chime in, I'll have to do a fresh back up to be sure but I'd wager the whole shebang here is under a gig in size.
If file clutter becomes a problem I'll have to prune.

Yeah, approaching a GB for the attachments and the combined database backup.

I also see phpBB has an update.

I selected the line mentioning a change above - seems like it could be a handy fix to have.

I'll try to do the update this weekend. if I can find the time. Maybe go through the attachments and delete some outdated stuff or silly pictures. I was thinking of making a GitHub Repo where Demos and tool stacks posted to the forum could exist in amore organized fashion. Thinking along the lines of OXT's own take on revOnline/livecodeShare site.
