I initiated a thread called "New from Nowhere" which has now been locked.
1. Who takes decisions to lock threads?
2. As I started the thread and wished to continue the discussion I feel the decision to lock it was extremely high-handed without asking me how I felt about it.

Re: Who Put the Bomp in the Bomp-a-Bomp-a-Bomp?
I locked it. (I'll hold my hands up to this) I can unlock it.
I locked it because there really wasn't any more to be said on it, in the current tone the discussion was headed in at the time. Yes - I was probably at fault for stoking the fire, but I didn't intend for the fire to be lit in the first place.
Or for it to become an inferno.
Using that analogy, I locked it to put the fire out.
As I say, it's now unlocked - and the 'discussion' will probably rage on. I won't get involved with it though.
You have my apologies Richmond, but the reasons I had for doing so were valid at the time.
I'm going to limit my posting to just updating the release notes, and looking at bug fixing. I won't be doing much more than that now.

Thanks.
However I have already had my 'fun' in the area you refer to, and as the result feels a bit like a mouthful of lemons, anyone pursuing it is on a hiding to nothing.
I will post what I was intending to post here later on, but it backtracks to an early part of the thread.
