Right-O . . . as promised (probably the biggest wet potato on the planet), but here "we go" on a compare and contrast exercise of 3 builds of a simple stack made with LC 9.6.11 (Commercial).

Presumably these standalones contain some sort of a date stamp inside them as they were zipped 3 days ago, and unzipped just now.
As detailed at the start of this thread the engine inside each Mac bundle contains sections that are different: I assume (?) that these differences reflect the differences in code needed to run those standalones on the different Macintosh hardware: the INTEL processors and the ARM/Silicon processors.
I intend to open the engines from the INTEL and the ARM standalones and REPLACE the code that differs in the ARM engine with the code from the INTEL engine, and see if that will allow the ARM engine to be recognised as an executable by my MacOS 12 INTEL 2015 iMac.
