Recently I have started experimenting with this and have found it quite useful; and, as my software is either Open Source or In-House I do not have to worry about copyright issues.

PSA: you do still have to worry about copyright if you're publicly releasing open source software, in house / private use you can do whatever you want.
BTW, I've played around a bit with Adobe's Creative Suite which now has graphical A.I. content creation. It's mostly garbage, I think, compared to some of the other ones out there, and of course content creators have rightly already been suing Adobe over it.
