"We’ve added the first iteration of the Data Store"
[quite apart from the grammatically wrong use of the definite article there]
what IS odd is that what a Data Store actually IS is NOT explained.
WHAT this does prove is that LC are preaching to not just "the converted" but to the heavy bunch.
If LC wants to attract new people this is NOT the way to do things.
"with data binding and collections working for the first time. You can add, edit and delete data."
I am obviously missing things (and so will a lot of other people) when I know that I can store data in, say, a table field or a data grid, and can import and export that data all over the place.
What's a Data store?

Re: What's a Data store?
" this is an early version of the Data Store, it is local to your app rather than being truly pushed to the cloud, and any and every part of the syntax may still change."
Emphasis is mine.
"it is local to your app"
As I stated above: we can store data in fields, table fields, data grids (ooooh, and custom properties), so what am I missing?
" every part of the syntax may still change"
Well, then, I wouldn't either trust it as far as I could throw it, or waste any time learning how it works if it is going to change before whatever.

Haha, that made more sense than what LC are banging on about.richmond62 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 6:52 pm As my Granny, from Norfolk, used to say, "Not as green as a cabbage looking."
I can only assume that their entire setup is now cloud-stored, and they are rejoicing about the fact that they can get bits to save back to the user's local drive (?)
A problem of their own making.
Yawn.
