When you are next experimenting with magic mushrooms Image, I've modified my controller (again).
We now have floors you can drop through by pressing the down key and it detects multiple platforms and ladders.

Oh, and when the player 'dies' by dropping off the bottom of the screen, it resets the player position.

About 5 years ago I was working (with a bunch of children) on a clone of Snail Bob, which had far more sophisticated graphics.

Do you have a copy of it? I thought I'd backed that up, but possibly not.

Of course, with a bit of gimp (or any image editor) you can jazz it up somewhat:

This is intended to be run while the browse tool is chosen. Choosing the pointer tool will pause gravity.
